How did Empowherment start?

In 2022, Founder Brittany Wheeler created a panel series during Women’s History Month in Alexandria, VA. She interviewed incredible women who had stories and wisdom to share. Brittany quickly found that both the panelists and the audience benefited greatly from the conversation and who they became as a result of particpating. In March of 2023, Brittany found the same results when she interviewed friends using just her instagram platform. In the fall of of 2023 she partnered with Lauren Filbert and Angela Fernot to bring and in person panel series to Wilmington, NC. The first official EmpowHERment Speaker Series was held in March of 2024.

Empowherment strengthens the community by giving women and men the tools to live out their best lives. Creating space for conversations that will help a person grow and thrive. Conversations led by individuasl who have overcome and want to share and help others who are where they once were.
